

To Andy's surprise, Woody is at the bottom of the box and Bonnie recognizes him. Woody instead leaves a note for Andy, who, thinking the note is from his mom, takes the toys to Bonnie's house. In Andy's room, Woody climbs into the box of college supplies, while the other toys prepare for the attic. Woody and the other toys board a familiar garbage truck back to Andy's house.

Lotso is found by a garbage truck driver who ties him to his truck's radiator grille and drives away. The toys resign themselves to their fate and prepare to die, but are rescued by the LGMs operating the industrial claw. Woody and Buzz help Lotso reach an emergency stop button, only for Lotso to abandon them and escape. The truck brings the toys to a landfill, where they are deposited on a conveyor belt that leads to an incinerator. A falling television lands on Buzz, restoring his memory and personality. The rest of Andy's toys fall into the truck while trying to rescue him, except Barbie, Ken and Big Baby who fails to make it on time. Lotso's henchmen retreat and Lotso drags Woody into the dumpster as the truck collects the trash. As the garbage truck approaches, Woody reveals Lotso's trickery to Big Baby, who now sees what Lotso has become and throws him into the dumpster. The toys reach the dumpster, but are cornered by Lotso's gang. They accidentally reset Buzz to Spanish Mode, although Buzz promptly allies himself with Andy's toys and falls in love with Jessie. Woody returns to Sunnyside (in Bonnie's bag) and learns from a Chatter Telephone that the only way out is through the dumpster, but they first have to take out the cymbal-banging monkey that watches the security cameras. When they found Sunnyside, Lotso rigged the system into an internment camp for toys at night, and Chuckles only escaped because Bonnie took him home for repair.

Chuckles could no longer see Lotso a friend. Lotso's personality drastically changed he lied to Big Baby, saying Daisy had replaced them all. They made it home where Lotso found he'd been replaced.

But then they got lost during a family trip. Andy's toys are imprisoned by Big Baby, a brainwashed Buzz, and Lotso's henchmen who rely on "new recruits" to secure themselves from the rambunctious toddlers.Īt Bonnie's house, Woody meets a gloomy toy clown named Chuckles, who explains that he, Lotso, and Big Baby once had a beloved owner named Daisy. They realize Woody was telling the truth and try to leave. Potato Head then discovers through an eye she left behind in Andy's room, and saw Andy looking for them. Buzz asks Lotso to have the toys move in the older children's room, but Lotso turns on Buzz and resets him to his original persona, erasing his memory. At Sunnyside, however, Andy's toys are played roughly by toddlers. Woody attempts to return home, on the other hand is found by Sunnyside student Bonnie, who brings Woody home and plays with him with her other toys, which are well-treated. Except Woody, Andy's toys are delighted to learn that Sunnyside never runs out of children to play with, and Barbie is enamored of the handsome Ken (doll). Woody follows but is unable to convince them Andy meant to keep them before Andy's mom donates them.Īndy's toys are welcomed by Lotso a Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear] and the other toys at Sunnyside. The toys escape and decide to climb into her car, inside a donation box with Molly's discarded Barbie, bound for Sunnyside Daycare. When Andy gets sidetracked, Andy's mom mistakenly throws the bag out, causing the toys to think that they are no longer wanted. The Army Men decide to Desertion leave on their own instead.
